Head of Secondary

We are looking for a well-qualified Head of Secondary to lead our Secondary department at our Koh Samui based school. It is a unique opportunity to develop your skills in one of Thailand's most iconic islands, while contributing to a unique, result-driven, pedagogic approach.

**Main Duties**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive STEM curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our international student body.
- Lead, manage, and support the secondary teaching staff to ensure high-quality instruction and student achievement.
- Foster a positive learning environment that promotes high expectations and provides opportunities for all students to experience success.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and students to promote academic success and student well-being.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international educational standards and regulations.
- Promote the school’s mission, philosophy, and educational objectives.

**OTHER**:

- To comply with, adhere to, and actively support school policies and procedures.
- To carry out any other duties that are commensurate with the role and as instructed by PBISS management.
- To adhere to the PBISS’s Health and Safety policies and procedures and to perform any school wide designated duties with regard to Health and Safety and the security of the school.
- Other projects/duties as assigned for the overall benefit of the organisation. This job description serves as a guide to the general duties of the role and may be reviewed on an ongoing basis.

You will be a reflective Head of Secondary who:

- Has experience of the British Curriculum.
- Is qualified to teach in the UK (QTS) or has similar qualifications.
- Preferably has a Masters’ degree.
- Has a proven track record of Secondary leadership and improvement.
- Has an experience of the school accreditation process preferred.
- Shows excellent management and organisational skills, including use of technologies.
- Has strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Shows cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
