**The opportunity**:
Our client, is a global leader powering eCommerce for postal operators, couriers, and logistics organisations.
As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining and prioritising the backlog for the team(s) whom you work with. You will interact with customers and prospective customers to evaluate if specific business requirements can and should be handled through core product functionality or if aspects require customisation. You need extensive long-term and short-term planning and the ability to execute these plans to support the company’s strategic vision.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Working closely with internal Product Managers as the Product Owner for your Agile Development team(s), understanding product functionalities and customisation.
- Collaborating and communicating with clients to understand their business needs and requirements, representing these back to the internal Product Managers and your Agile development team(s).
- Advocating for the clients internally while collaborating with them on best practices and solutions to maximise business value for the product.
- Owning and facilitating the refinement of requirements into epics and user stories for the development teams to implement, including collaborating with the Team Leads, Architects and Product Managers.
- Creating and maintaining the product backlog, including prioritising stories to be included in the future release cycles.
- Supporting teams during the development iterations by providing clarifications, adjustment to risks, changes in scope, reprioritising and approving “done” stories and features, as well as providing demos to internal and external stakeholders.
- Participating in onsite client workshops, providing walkthrough of product features, including live demos and product backlog insight.
- Working closely with Product Management and Senior Management in order to create a product that fits the company portfolio.
- Being the primary contact for business queries related to the modules and core services for which you are responsible for.
- Continually improving the product development process and methodology to improve quality and efficiency.
- Providing client user training (on-site or remotely) and assisting production of client user documentation.
- Identifying product enhancements, in conjunction with the Product and R&D teams, potential additional revenue opportunities, and collaborating with clients about the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritisation.
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
- A minimum 5 years of product management or related experience in launching software products.
- A minimum of 8 years experience in postal, banking, financial services industries, or related software vendor arena.
- Minimally one certification in Agile methods and relevant business analysis methods
- Experience in backlog management and using supporting tools such as JIRA.
- Experience in running client workshops for requirement gathering, both onsite or remotely, and developing/maintaining a client relationship throughout the project.
- An excellent understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and, in particular, experience in working on Scrum projects.
- A Bachelors Degree in Business or IT.
- Preferably, an understanding of the postal industry and/or point of service solutions along with technical aptitude or experience.
- Fluent in English and Thai for communication with the client and Escher staff.
