Job Summary:
Plan, organize, lead, and control the project efficiently and effectively. Possess in-depth knowledge of project management principles and practices. Typically works on more than one project of high complexity and scope. Plans, executes, and finalizes projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. Acquires resources and coordinates the efforts of team members and external clients to deliver projects according to plan. Manages and defines the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout the completion of the project(s) life cycle. Creates work plans based on goals and targets Collaborates with other functional areas to integrate work plans and budgets which are essential for the success and sustainability of the project.
Specific Tasks related to supporting the Center of Excellence (COE) include but not limited to the following:
a) Provides input into design and specifications of the Subaward and Procurement module.
b) Serves as a department representative on the COE.
c) Makes recommendations and assists with implementation of ERP platform including
d) Reporting on COE activities to Contracts and Procurement management as needed.
e) Assisting with the creation of documentation related to design, implementation and business
practice related to requisitioning for subawards, commercial goods, professional services
and consultants and updating other related guidance materials to align with the
f) Provides support to users to enable them to resolve their specific day-to-day problems,
working closely with other members of the COE to execute corrective action when
necessary.
Accountabilities:
- Manages and oversees the development of projects from initiation to completion.- Manages capacity building project staff in coordinating and managing the implementation of project activities, delivering quality and accountability.- Provide guidance and monitoring for project staff, ensuring clarity over project plans.- Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management.- Defines project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals and strategic vision of management.- Develops and delivers project plans, documentation, training and related presentations to management and staff.- Identifies and resolves project issues and implements improvement plans to ensure project stays on schedule and within budget.- Coaches, mentors, and manages project team to ensure quality, efficiency and compliance with project and company standards/policies.- Assist regional and country office contracts and procurement staff and vendors to insure continuity of service.- Builds, develops, and grows partnerships vital to the success of the project.- Manages the operational and tactical aspects of multiple projects in a matrix environment.- Supports the development, implementation and monitoring of contracts and procurement strategy in coordination with program and country offices.- Supports project/country office teams to ensure compliance with policies andprocedures; also, to develop and implement process improvement plans.- Identifies partnerships, opportunities, and information to present to management to help achieve strategic goals of the company.- Focus on minimizing risk across multiple projects, and scope to ensure successful execution of project(s) deliverables and completion of project(s).- Performs other duties assigned.

Problem Solving & Impact:
- Decisions and actions have serious implications with delays in project schedules and may affect overall business activities within a department, program, regional office or country office.- Problems are complex and require analysis of situations and data with evaluation of various factors.- Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies to select methods and techniques to obtain results.
Supervision Given/Received:
- Provide administrative support to staff and external project members to achieve goals and vision of project from initiation to completion.- Coordinates project plans, budgets, training, and resources with management to achieve strategic goals.- Typically reports to a Director.
Education**:
- Bachelor's Degree or its International Equivalent- Master’s degree or its international equivalent preferred.- Project Management (PM) Certification preferred.
Experience**:
- Typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience (including 3+ years of line management experience) with financial, contracts and procurement principles and
