**Job Purpose**:
**Assistant Inspector** assists Supervisor, Inspection in supervising and coordinating all activities performed by service contractors and offshore inspection team for smooth implementation of inspection programs. The jobholder ensures that inspection activities are conducted according to plan and strictly fulfil Company’s requirements and specifications according to Company’s inspection policy to avoid any events that might jeopardize people, installation and production.

**Key Accountabilities (1)**:

- Assist Supervisor, Inspection in NDT work (Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle Inspection, thickness measurement) and corrosion monitoring (ER Probe data log and remaining pipe wall thickness measurement).
- Liaise with related parties to carry out the inspection work e.g.
- Assist Songkhla Inspector to coordinate with equipment owners to run lifting equipment inspection campaign.
- Assist Engineer, Inspection in running the intelligent pigging campaign.
- Assist service contractors in inspecting piping and pressure vessel.

**Key Accountabilities (2)**:

- Perform corrosion protection of all Bongkot North field metallic structures and implement quality control according to Company’s standards.
- Assist Supervisor, Inspection in setting up and implementing the painting programs. Prepare and implement work permits. Direct and supervise all painting work and activities performed by painters and report quality of painting work to Offshore Inspector for further repair.
- Ensure safe operating conditions of all related tools, equipment and PPE. from external/ Third Party.
- Comply with and promote the Company’s SSHE policy and regulations in all work under his responsibility.

**Professional Knowledge & Experiences**:

- Technical Diploma in Mechanical or related fields
- 5 years’ experience in related work especially in oil & gas
- Experiences in in-service inspection of static equipment for oil & Gas
- Qualified and able to carry out general NDE (VI, MT, PT & UTM).
- Fair knowledge in welding QC / Painting QC

**Professional Knowledge & Experiences**:

- Fair knowledge in offshore crane and Lifting gear inspection
- Fair knowledge in corrosion theory corrosion monitoring
- Fair knowledge in offshore piping code and specification
- Fair command of both written and spoken English
- Able to use PC and common business software plus knowledge of business support systems.
