We are looking for a **Software Engineer**, eager to work with our small but elite engineering team to build the software systems running and fueling our state-of-the-art trading strategies.

**What are the responsibilities of a Senior Software Engineer?**:
**In this role, you will get to**:

- Take ownership of significant parts of our trading system and internal alpha platform
- Work closely with other engineers, product owners, and researchers to design complex technical solutions from scratch
- Critically analyze both existing and proposed solutions and pro-actively providing feedback
- Consistently adhere to best practices
- Review code and making significant contributions to our codebases

**Requirements for this role are**:

- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- Deep knowledge and understanding of at least one programming language, such as Java, C++, Python, Rust, Elixir
- Experience in software testing (unit test, integration test, etc.)
- Understanding of computer science fundamentals, such as Algorithms & Data Structures, Software Design Patterns, Networking, and Operating Systems
- Experience working with (at least some of): Containerization, REST APIs, Messaging Systems, CI/CD, Linux Environments
- Passion for writing clean, testable, extendable, and scalable code and an urge to automate as much as possible
- An up-to-date overview of current technology and industry standards
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in English

**Nice to have**:

- Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience working in (algorithmic) trading and interacting with stock/cryptocurrency exchanges using different protocols
- Experience working with (trading) equities and or cryptocurrencies
- Experience working with Research Teams, Data Scientists, and AI models
- Experience in deploying and maintaining production infrastructure
- Experience benchmarking software and understanding of (low-level) code performance optimization
- Experience retrieving, storing, and processing large amounts of data
