This position provides an environment where patrons can have a positive and uplifting experience each time they come to the temple by protecting and securing the sacred and temporal aspects of the temple and to protect the temple employees, patrons, and visitors. This role reports to the Temple Facilities Manager.
- Supervise and train a team of security personnel.
- Schedule security personnel assignments to ensure sufficient security coverage.
- Recommend to management on procedures and methods to enhance security. Includes the installation, calibration, maintenance, and monitoring of electronic alarms and surveillance equipment.
- Supervise and assist with inspection of buildings and grounds for safety hazards to ensure the building is safe for patrons and volunteers and it meets building safety regulations.
- Prepare training and emergency action plan for various hazards and emergencies.
- Member of the Church with a current Temple Recommend
- Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of relevant work experience preferred, with 2 years of supervisory experience. Less work experience/education will be considered.
- A valid security license is preferred; unlicensed with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Experience in using and maintaining electronic alarms and surveillance equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective communicator, results-driven, detail-minded, organized and capable to work under tight timeline or during emergent situations as a leader.
- Self-starter who embraces personal accountability
- Fluent in English and Thai, written and oral.
