Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of automotive components.

The Material & Production Planner will be reporting directly to the Master Scheduler (Supervisor) and will be responsible for the following key functions:

- Independently and self-responsibly processing customer calls; scheduling deliveries respecting deadlines and quantities.
- Independently planning, managing, and guaranteeing the supply chain from supplier to customer (customer calls, orders, order confirmations, timelines, inventory sheets); accounting for the supply chain stock level; independently introducing measures in cases of deviations and setting priorities.
- Providing production schedules to production planners / shift supervisors.
- Managing warehouse space to be able to support ongoing processes relating to production/factory.
- Using a data-driven approach, communicating, and focusing on plant resources in critical areas needing improvement to significantly increase plan acceptance and concerning volume.
- Maintaining information on time in customer portals.
- Ensuring that monthly stock value is within targets.
- Ensuring the best transportation costs and inventory costs are found when defining delivery frequencies from suppliers to the plant.
- Providing production plans to the Production team and Shift Supervisor.
- Managing incoming and outgoing dispatch while keeping the deadlines set by the customer and planning potential inventory backlogs.
- Coordinating the timing for the implementation of engineering changes of components and finished goods by ensuring minimum scrap costs.
- Supporting the Production Department to ensure that all required materials are provided as required and scheduled.
- Supporting the Incoming Coordinator by evaluating supplier delivery performance.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Logistics or Engineering or comparable education.
- Minimum of 3 -5 years experience in logistics, preferably familiar with scheduling as well as logistics planning in either the automotive industry or ancillary industry.
- Expansive knowledge of scheduling methods and principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong leadership and negotiation skills.
- Familiar with import/export processes and especially customs processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of MRP using ERP systems.
- Good in English speaking, Reading, and Writing.
- Good at math and statistics.
- **Able to work on a 1-year contract with renewable. This position has a chance to be permanent in the future.**
