We are seeking two Individual Support Assistants. One to work with a child in Year 2 and one to work with a child in Reception. To support a pupil who has significant learning needs on a 1:1 basis. Responsible for supporting the pupil across the school day, including during extra-curricular activities and excursions. Working with teachers, TAs, Inclusion Team, and other professionals to support all aspects of the pupil’s development and wellbeing.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Specific One-to-One Support Responsibilities
- Develop a relationship with the pupil and understand their academic and social strengths and needs
- Provide support in classroom as well as social settings, to encourage participation in a range of activities
- Work with the class teacher and other staff to provide and deliver accessible, progressive and purposeful learning materials to the pupil and record their progress as appropriate
- Deliver online learning sessions under the guidance of the class teacher, adapting materials as appropriate
- Adapt the learning space to meet the pupil’s needs as appropriate
- Challenge and support the pupil to encourage progress in all areas of their development
- Work on a 1:1 and/or small group basis to facilitate the pupil’s social development
- Model social skills and encourage the pupil to engage, work and play with others in a successful manner
- Facilitate and encourage the pupil’s independence as appropriate to the activity and the pupil’s needs
- Participate in reviews of the pupil’s progress and share observations of their achievements and needs
- Share information about needs and strategies with the pupil’s specialist teachers as appropriate
- Implement all pastoral policies and practices in line with the ethos of the school, including following recommendations from relevant staff and professionals
- Model and praise positive behaviours of the pupil and provide guidance or discipline in line with school policy
- Undertake daily additional duties as required to support the pupil’s needs
- Foster positive relationships and communication with the pupils’ parents/carers
- Take on the duties of an Inclusion TA when the pupil is not presentSafety and Care
- Provide pastoral support where necessary and report any concerns as per school policy
- Follow the Intimate Care Guidelines when assisting pupils in all intimate care interactions (if applicable)
- Know, understand and comply with policy and procedures relating to safeguarding of children, confidentiality, health and safety, social media use etc.

**Other Responsibilities**
- Work collaboratively with all staff, demonstrating high levels of teamwork and cooperation
- Be punctual, following the expected times of day and adhering to leave and absence procedures
- Use English as appropriate
- Attend meetings and training or professional development courses as required
- Take part in the PDR appraisal process
- Follow all agreed School Policies and procedures as shared and in the Staff Handbooks
- Undertake other reasonable duties as requested by the Head of Department, Head of Faculty or members of the Senior Leadership Team

- Experience working with children is essential
- Further experience working with children with SEN (including ASD & ADHD) would be beneficial
- Willingness to undertake training to further knowledge and skills in relation to curriculum and individual learning needs
- Prepared to meet the demands of the position and to adopt reflective practice in relation to the role
- High School Diploma or equivalent as a minimum, Bachelor’s Degree desirable
- Ability to communicate to a good standard in both English (essential) and Thai (preferable)
- Secure numeracy and literacy skills
- Friendly, caring and able to work well with others
- Attentiveness to the needs and safety of pupils
