- Library Management: Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the school library, ensuring it is well-organized, accessible, and welcoming for all students.
- Reading Culture Development: Foster a love of reading across all year groups (Nursery to Year 6), promoting a diverse range of high-quality literature and creating a positive and engaging reading culture.
- Curate and Expand the Collection: Continuously update and expand the library's collection to include a broad variety of genres, texts, and formats (fiction, non-fiction, picture books, graphic novels, poetry, etc.), ensuring representation of international literature, contemporary authors, and diverse voices.
- Literacy and Curriculum Support: Collaborate with teachers and school leadership to integrate library resources into the school’s curriculum. Support literacy initiatives and help students build research skills, information literacy, and critical thinking.
- Book Recommendations & Guidance: Provide book recommendations to students based on their interests, reading level, and personal preferences. Encourage independent reading and ensure that every student finds books they enjoy.
- Reading Events and Initiatives: Organize and run regular library events, such as book fairs, author visits, reading challenges, and other activities designed to engage students with literature and develop their reading habits.
- Support for Library Lessons: Work alongside class teachers to deliver library-based lessons, including storytelling sessions, group readings, and individual reading support.
- Collaboration with Parents and the Community: Act as a liaison between the school library and parents, keeping families informed about new books, library events, and ways to encourage reading at home. Engage with the wider community to bring in resources and collaborate on projects.
- Technology Integration: Integrate digital resources and technologies into the library space, supporting students in their learning and research while encouraging responsible and ethical use of technology.

**Key Qualifications**:

- A degree in Library Science, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a school librarian, preferably within an international or British curriculum school, with an understanding of early years and primary-aged children (Nursery to Year 6).
- Strong working knowledge of high-quality literature, including children's fiction, non-fiction, and poetry, from both international and British sources.
- Ability to recommend diverse literature and foster an inclusive, multicultural reading environment.
- Experience curating library collections, managing resources, and promoting books and reading initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- Passion for children's literature and a commitment to fostering a love of reading in young learners.
- Creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm for making the library a vibrant and engaging space for students.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- A knowledge of or willingness to learn about the Thai educational context and culture is advantageous.
- A good understanding of library management systems and digital literacy.

**Desirable Attributes**:

- Knowledge of current trends in children's literature.
- Familiarity with the latest educational technology and its integration into the library.
- Experience with organizing events and initiatives that promote literacy and reading.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
