An IT Manager oversees a company's technology infrastructure, operating IT daily tasks, managing projects, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and securely, while aligning IT strategies with business goals. The IT Manager is directly reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Strategic Planning & Implementation**:
- Develop and implement IT policies that align with the organization's overall business goals.
- Analyze current technology infrastructure and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that meet business need
- **IT Operations & Management**:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Manage IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.
- Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- **Risk Management**: Implement security measures to safeguard information systems and mitigate risks related to information security.
- **Project Management**:
- Manage IT projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and closure.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- **Budget Management**:
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and manage IT expenses.
- **Vendor Management**:
- Establish and maintain relationships with IT vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure vendors meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- **Staying Up-to-Date**:
- Stay informed about the latest IT trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role, with strong project management skills.
- Proficiency in IT systems, software, and infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with budgeting and business operations.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data protection.
