Job Description

The Position

Responsible for project management and the technical expertise required by the lifecycle Services (LCS) Business. Hold key responsibilities in planning of customers' projects. Also responsible for the development of technical and commercial documentation required by projects and proposals.

What Success Is
- Completion of projects within assigned timeframe, specifications and allocated budget.
- Customer satisfaction as measured by customer feedback.
- Follow on business in the form of change orders or new contracts with the same customer.

How You will Achieve Your Goals
- Analysis, feasibility assessment and design of customer's project requirements. Prepare cost estimates and technical documentation for proposals.
- Participate in contract negotiations always ensuring that defined Rockwell Automation approvals and delegation levels have been involved.
- Manages projects following LCS project management implementation standards, methodologies and guidelines.
- Ensure the quality, schedule and profitability of assigned projects.
- Manage sub-contractors as part of specific projects and provide guidance to LCS Project Engineers on delivery of projects.

- Make decisions on project resource requirements and scheduling. Escalate (i.e. bring to the attention of management) situations, which may get out of control. - Provide regular reports (i.e. at least monthly) to the Project Management Office (PMO) / LCS Business Manager about the status of each assigned project (time, scope, budget, and customer satisfaction).
- Guide, plan, coordinate and implement system design and testing activities, documentation revisions based on design criteria, on-site system startup services and often serve as the interface to the customer's startup team and post-mortem and archiving activities.
- You will also own project priorities and delivery of project expectations, and identify any issues and mitigate risk among a project team while representing the best interests of the LCS department.

Experience and Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
- Post Graduate qualifications in Project Management or equivalent, Eg PMP
- 4 years' experience or above in project management
- Experience in process and controls engineering solutions, within an EPC/EPCM project environment, or equivalent would be desirable
- Technical understanding of Rockwell Automation technologies and solutions, or equivalent

- Demonstrated technical skills and industry experience to understand customers' issues and providing capabilities to address these issues
- Demonstrate the ability to manage complex high risk contracts

- Principled and sound with an understanding of the need to protect confidential information.
