We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our virtual team, where you will work remotely using Agile methodology for software development. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products by designing and executing manual tests, identifying opportunities for automation, and collaborating with the team to drive continuous improvement in testing processes. **Responsibilities** - Working remotely as part of a virtual team using Agile methodology for software development. - Establishing clear criteria for each work item to be considered "done." - Conducting manual tests, including exploratory testing, across all levels (component, API, end-to-end, and feature). - Performing regression and smoke testing and identifying opportunities to introduce automation. - Ensuring that acceptance criteria are clearly defined and sufficient. - Fostering collaboration and discussion to drive perpetual improvement in testing. - Conducting root-cause analysis of defects when they occur. - Incorporating compliance and security requirements into QA efforts. **Requirements**: - Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred: equivalent experience will be considered. - 7 years of experience as a member of an Agile software development team. - Knowledge of software defect detection and tracking technologies. - Experience using testing tools such as Jest, Cypress, and Storybook, for languages such as Python and JavaScript. - Familiarity with programming languages like JavaScript, Python, and C#. - Proficiency in Agile methodologies and SWAGGER documentation. - Ability to test software interactions with machine controls and user interfaces (e.g., kiosks, card readers). - Strong interpersonal communication skills, with a team-oriented approach. - Comfortable with various platforms, including websites, mobile apps, and backend APIs. - Self-motivated to pursue new skills and knowledge in software design and quality engineering. - Ability to work remotely.
