**Overall responsibilities and duties**:
The IdP Country Buyer will be responsible to manage the sourcing of suppliers and focus on cost saving initiatives of Indirect purchasing including handle Operational Procurement.
**The main missions of the role are**:
- Initiate sourcing activities with domestic and international suppliers. (e.g. supplier searching, RFQ preparation, price analysis and negotiation, source determination, contract making, e-Auction).
- Develop sourcing strategy and plans for Goods & Service. Coordinate and align the strategy and activities with the Global team and take leading or supporting role in sourcing projects
- Interface with stakeholder to prioritize supplier development needs by component to improve cost competitiveness, efficiency and services.
- Coordinate with internal functional departments (domestic and/or oversea) and external suppliers on order / delivery / quality / technology issues.
- Assess the supply market, identify potentials and risks, and develop sourcing strategy and plans with the category leaders.
- Evaluate supplier performance and drive for continuous improvement. Develop and execute the strategy of supplier relationship management.
- Maintain prices and other sourcing information in SAP, keep close monitor and update, take immediate sourcing actions when needed, ensure the data in system are available and up to date.
- To ensure the right products at the right place and the right time with appropriate suppliers.
- Responsible to join, co-operate and follow all implementations/ activities concerning the company rules & regulations, Code of Conduct, Etc.
**Qualifications**:
Minimum Education Level: Higher education degree (bachelors,) in Engineering, or Business
Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in Indirect Purchasing in an industrial environment
Skills and competencies:
- Knowledge of supply portfolio and market research and analysis
- Knowledge of contractual and legal aspects
- Negotiation skills
- Business minded, Risk management and Problem solving.
- Strong Teamwork and advanced planning and organizational skills with pro-active mind-set.
- Good communications skills
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of assigned commodity (products, technologies, cost models) and logistics are a plus
- Automotive and SAP knowledge is a plus
