This role will be based out of Bangkok, Thailand and report directly to the APAC Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and will support the client business.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Law with a Thai lawyer license/ Barrister at law
- Senior lawyer (6-8 years Post Qualification Experience) licensed to practise law in Thailand.
- Extensive transactional corporate experience gained either at a reputable law firm and / or in-house, ideally with IT / outsourcing exposure.
- Deep knowledge and experience in structuring, negotiating and executing transactions for customers and vendors.
- Having a good handle on labour/employment issues, privacy, corporate compliance and general corporate advisory.
- Strong commercial acumen, paired with effective communication skills including the ability to confidently influence internal and external stakeholders and explain decisions as needed.
- Ability to cope with complex situations in a fast-changing environment and work well under pressure.
- Flexible, adaptable. Able to work across projects, time-zones and functions.

Available to travel as needed (although this is expected to be mínimal).
- Fluent in both Thai and English as the role will require to liaise extensively with internal stakeholders in the wider APAC-region as well as Global teams.

Job Responsibilities:

- Working within the APAC Legal and Compliance Team, but supporting the Thailand business, focusing on the execution of transactions and implementing global and regional compliance programs.
- Ability to work across multiple jurisdictions (within APAC or global), supporting deal structuring, negotiating transaction documentation and transaction closings.
- Overseeing all legal aspects of a transaction, including drafting and reviewing non-binding offers and letters of intent, tenders and contracting of all related agreements.
- Engaging, instructing, and overseeing external counsel, when required,
- Develop understanding of the Thailand as well as the larger APAC and global businesses at the company.
- Acting as a bridge between the local business and the regional / global stakeholders to ensure business requirements and risks are taken into account and properly represented in negotiations of all transactions.
- Coordinating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to manage transactional matters across jurisdictions as well as advising senior management in the region and the headquarters (including Germany) on legal and business options / implications.
