Quality Manager

Our client is a leading manufacturer of innovative paints and coatings.
The Quality Manager will report to the Site Manager and will be responsible for the following key functions:
- Being responsible for the overall quality control aspects of raw materials, in-process and finished products.
- Setting quality standards and ensuring compliance with the company Standards and guidelines.
- Sites will exclusively produce and release products based on approved standards.
- Upon site-specific quality issues, the SQM facilitates the RCA (though not necessarily leading it), contains the risks and ensures notification as a complex site, the SQM consults the RQM.
- Handling customer complaint investigation, working closely with solution labs and QA to ensure all the customers’ quality requirements were controlled.
- Responding to customers on justified complaints is detailed with a standard reply form and on time.
- Creating corrective actions are assigned, effective and completed on time.
- Handling complaints management is effective and conducted in line with standard procedure.
- Training & competence needs are assessed along with HR at least annually, planned & documented & used for staff development planning.
- Ensuring that processes needed for the Quality Management system are established, implemented, and maintained according to the requirements of the company Quality Management system.
- Regularly assessing quality issues and compliance with legal requirements, to determine whether the Quality Management System conform to the planned arrangements for the requirements of ISO 9001.
- Always ensuring and adhering to the Company policies/guidelines.
- Managing the hazards by responding effectively to the hazards in HSE&S, collaborating in delivering site HSE&S, Process Safety Management improvement plan.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry related.
- Good at oral and writing in English.
- More than 10 years of working experience in a quality role.
- Coating & painting technology and the coating & painting production process are preferable.
- Familiar with ISO9001, preferably with Leader Auditor certification
- Knowledge of ISO/ TS16949 and its five core tools such as SPC, FMEA & MSA is preferable.
- Knowledge of AS9001 is a plus.
- Result orientation.
- Big team management.
- Project management preferred.
