Software Development Manager

Responsibilities will include:

- Managing project/work planning sessions with team members and Product Managers to analyse requirements
- Allocating team development activities including implementing development processes to conform to LSEG standards
Taking part in code reviews and reviewing the work of colleagues.
- Support dev/ops teams with system maintenance tasks and tools that facilitate unattended upgrading, fall back, patching, etc.
Provides management and leadership to team leaders or supervisors
- Full accountability for the development team
- Manage the impact of internal and external business issues and recommend solutions
- Develop development plans, including business, production, and organizational priorities, which support overall business strategy
Directs the resolution of complex or unusual technical, operational, and organisational problems which may be multi-disciplinary

Required skills:

- 3+ years of experience as a Development Manager
- Must have: Strong people leadership skills
Must have: Senior level of Java 8+ and/or NodeJS 10+
- Must have: Experience with Web Components, HTML, ECMAScript 5 +, HTTP request
- Must have: Experience of Amazon Web Services (AWS), lambda, ECS, SQS, SNS, step function, DynamoDB, S3
- Must: have: Senior knowledge of Core Java, Spring
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle and experience in Agile Scrum processes
- Well versed with using version control tools (e.g. Gitlab, DX1)
- Knowledge of TDD practices, understanding of code quality measurements and able to implement efficient Unit Tests
- Understanding of SOLID design principles
