Development Geoscientist

This position is an expert in all aspects of development geology/geophysics:

- Seismic interpretation, Well correlation, Sand-mapping, Reservoir quality
- Well planning (including horizontal)
- Subsurface structural mapping, Well log interpretation, Stratigraphic correlation
- Reservoir quality assessment, analogy-based reserves estimation
- Development well planning, well operations, and model-building

**Qualifications**:

- Must have ability to develop waterflood opportunities.
- Knowledge of GOT extensional & fluvial depositional environment important. Familiarity with OOIP/reserves determination is critical.
- Teamwork: Able to work in x-functional team & perform detailed subsurface assessments. Comfortable making trade-off decisions & working closely with other functions. Demonstrated ability to build team consensus and ability to work effectively and collaboratively in multi-discipline, multi-cultural environment.
- Proficient experiences in all aspects of development geology: subsurface structural mapping, petrophysics, stratigraphic correlation, sand-mapping, reservoir quality assessment, analogy-based reserves estimation, development well planning, and well operations (WFO rules, call TD, ID losses, pressure pts., & squeezes)
- Mentoring: proven record of mentoring junior geologists. Active participation and ideas/knowledge sharing is expected at technical review meetings.
- Communication: Demonstrated ability to convey concepts and objectives in presentations and technical reports.
