The Purpose of Role:
Regulatory Affairs (RA) role in Thailand is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance of innovation projects and find creative approach to land innovations competitively despite regulatory restrictions.

This role is also important to represent Unilever in Technical Working Group (TWG) in Trade Associations (TA) to create space for Home Care regulations by connecting and working with other RA representatives from TA’s members.

Team Structure:
Reporting to: Regulatory Affairs Manager - Home Care SEA & ID

Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsibility on Home Care
_Innovation_:

- Being RA representative in local Home Care discussion such as Local Claim Forum (LCF), project meetings/networks etc.
- Responsible for RA assessment for Thailand Home Care projects (on claims, product compliance), and regulatory feedback on requests from regional & global team
- Co-create new claims, borderline claims to support successful landing of HC projects

2. Responsibility on Home Care
_Advocacy_:

- Being expert in Thailand regulations related to HC
- Active in working with members in Trade Associations
- Active in TWG when working with regulators on regulatory matters that help smoothen Unilever HC business in Thailand
- Connect with relative functions for feedback/support on draft/current regulation to have timely feedback to relevant regulators

3. Relationship building:

- Build relationship with relevant authorities to get their supports when needed e.g., to facilitate issue/ challenge related to innovation projects
- Build relationship with RA representatives from other companies in Trade Association to get their supports when needed

4. Regulatory update & project team connection:

- Be first point of contact for regulatory matters/ queries/ challenges in HC Thailand
- Responsible for updating new relevant regulations to relevant department such as R&D, Marketing, EA, Legal, QA, MSO etc.

- Thai Soap, Detergent, House-hold’s, and Personal Care Association (TSDA)

Travel:

- Travel within the country is required for meetings with regulators and/or working with members in Trade associations

Essential Experience/Skill/Knowledge:

- Strong in communication, negotiation, and influencing & problem-solving skills
- Able to manage complexity and project team
- Able to manage complexity when working with external parties
- Good in both Thai and English communication skill

Desirable Experience/Skill/Knowledge:

- University graduate with Chemistry background or related field
- Experience in managing complexity
- Good in soft skill when dealing with external parties e.g., authorities, people in TAs
