**Position Overview**:

- In agreement with the F&B Supervisor / Head Barkeep, F&B Captain/Bartender performs service of Beverage (alcoholic beverage, cocktails, no alcoholic cocktails, soft drinks, teas) and food at the Phra Nakhon and cooperative support to the Food & Beverage department.

**The Role**:
Performs and service during operation at the Phra Nakhon.

Taking and managing guest orders following Capella standards of operation and performing smooth service of Phra Nakhon.

Follows all steps of Capella service standards and ensures high guest satisfaction.

provides a high personalized service to our customers, advises and guides them in their choice of all beverages and food (in cooperation with sommelier - Wines)

Is performing high quality of service delivered to our customers.

Take responsibility for cleanness and prepares miss en place of duty areas.

Is key point to good guest relation and individual experience.

Full knowledge of food / drinks menu and providing high standard service at the Phra Nakhon.

Is responsible for the quality and maintenance of the equipment and premises of the service.

In order to ensure quality customer service and follow-up, it may be necessary to assist and / or replace colleagues in some of their duties, in any department.

Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.

Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests using brand or property specific process to resolve issues, delight, and build trust.

Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.

Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.

Communicate additional drink or meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.

Set tables according to type of event and service standards, including types of linens, glassware, plate/chinaware, and silver/flatware, ensuring all supplies meet quality standards.

Perform duties to ensure guest satisfaction (e.g. following guests request and preference...)

Complete opening and closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklist.

Record transaction in POS system at time of order.

Communicate and coordinate food delivery with Server.

Assist restocking and replenishment Restaurant inventory and supplies.

Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by Management.

Serves guests their food and beverage in prompt, courteous manner as per the standard sequence of service.

Present physical and accurate check and process payment, adhering to all cash handling and credit policies/procedures including added and received gratuity.

Acquires a working knowledge of hotel, in-house facilities and local information to respond to guest questions in these areas as required.

Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to Supervisor / Manager.

Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages.

Answer questions on menu selections, and check with kitchen staff whenever additional clarification is necessary.

Is making mixed beverage as well as service of drinks form the bar if assigned or if required by Supervisor or Management

Ensures all drinks and service standards are provided in the service level by Capella Bangkok

Participates on making mixed beverage.

Knowledgeable about bar program, cocktail recipes, spirit knowledge, tea knowledge as well as desert options, upcoming events and promotions

Performs high quality service at the Phra Nakhon

Understands that business demands sometimes make it necessary to move employees from their accustomed shifts to other shifts.

Guarantees compliance with the rules of hygiene, safety and working conditions established within Capella Bangkok.

**Talent Profile**:

- General Certificate of Education / Diploma, preferably in Hospitality or Restaurant Management.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a similar role in luxury resort / hotel.
- Good command in written and spoken English.
- Good computer literacy especially Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of restaurant management system (e.g. MICROS POS).
- Excellent communicator with personable character.
