**Responsibilities**:
- Safety and health
- Supporting the employer and staff on current and proposed HSE legislative and practice requirements.
- Identifying potential hazards and advising on safe working practices to minimize accidents at workplaces.
- Conducting research and providing information on developments in protective equipment and advising the employer about their suitability and implementation.
- Analyzing all incidents/accidents and ‘near miss’ reports as the first stage in a corrective action program.
- Preparing timely reports for the employer on the HSE performance of the site.
- Carrying out internal compliance and management system audits.
- Supporting and checking that employees are involved in HSE managing processes relating to the work assigned to them, particularly including hazard identification and risk assessment, as well as effective use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Planning, developing and promoting preventative health care programs with ongoing monitoring in cooperation with the site medical or external health care provider.
- Chairing, coordinating and keeping records of internal HSE committee meetings and other HSE-related meetings. Acquiring information on aspects of occupational health and safety for and on behalf of the committee.

Liaising with Business Group HSE functions and other relevant industrial or governmental groups to ensure that best practice is targeted at all times

General

The HSE Manager is a role model who demonstrates safe behavior and supports his colleagues with respect to HSE issues. Reporting ALL accidents, incidents and hazardous situations arising in the course of work to the employer and BG HSE function as required. Controlling, promoting and supporting contractor HSE management Providing assistance in the event of an emergency as a member of the emergency response team. Running an overview about legal requirements and permits Maintaining and implementing the HSE audit schedule Representing the company with respect to external stakeholders (authorities, customers,etc.) in HSE matters, under direction from the company's legal representatives

Training

Developing and coordinating internal, on the job and external HSE-related training programs for various work groups at all hierarchical organizational levels, including fire response drills, personal protective equipment and emergency and evacuation plans. Evaluating and recommending external training courses for the development of HSE skills and HSE knowledge. Assisting and supporting the familiarization (induction) training program for new employees and contractors.

Environment

Supporting the employer and staff on current and proposed HSE legislative and practice requirements. Identifying, evaluating and proposing preventive and control measures to avoid negative environmental impact. Conducting regular checks to ensure that environmentally related measuring and monitoring devices function correctly. Promoting and supporting the waste management system. Creating and promoting waste recycling processes throughout the company. Obtaining, updating and maintaining plans, permits and standard operating procedures. Preparing, reviewing and updating environmental investigation and audit reports. Developing, proposing and monitoring the progress of environmental improvement programs.

Qualifications:
HSE knowledge - education and certification by local/regional occupational safety and environmental authority.

This occupation has a level of skill equivalent to a bachelor degree or higher qualification.

At least 8 years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.

In some instances, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.

Internal auditor for one the HSE management system (e.g. safety, environment or energy)

Certified chemical expert from department of industrial works of Thailand
