**About Role**:
You will provide thoughtful leadership to corporate security operations onsite at Bangkok & might be required to support other SEA locations. Provide leadership to security guard vendors, monitor and track performance and look for areas of improvement. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and partners to develop a security program that delivers effective and innovative solutions at scale. This position will report to the Head of Security, India & SEA.
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee and manage all Physical Security operational activities with primary responsibility for Life Safety and Asset Protection across the business. Ensure employee compliance with our standards.
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and implementing security emergency management procedures and plans. Provide oversight for day-to-day operations of the security team.
- Support in implementing safety and security awareness programs. Responsible for employee Safety, Security, Health & Life safety.
- Liaise with Govt, LEAs, and private sector agencies within the region to protect & enhance the Bytedance Global Security.
- Conduct accurate and timely risk assessments of operations, conduct security audits and risk assessments of BD premises and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Assist Facilities & Local safety Liaison to integrate localized environmental health safety guidelines, programs & training.
- Support the management of guarding vendors including the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure high quality operational vendor performance in line with our key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Drive the Tactical development of Physical Security Programs for ByteDance personnel and operations such as emergency response planning, crisis and incident response, employee welfare check, travel & event security and site security risk assessment.
- Provide operational support and guidance to the ByteDance representative on the Country Crisis / Emergency Management Teams (CMT / ERT).
- Conduct investigations of reported acts of violations / infringements / deviant associate behavior. Investigation with overt/covert surveillance requirements, fitting both internal & external customer requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, business units, operations teams and local landlords and vendors, developing and enhancing working relationships.
- Manage local incidents to ensure mínimal disruption to our operations. Develop and maintain emergency response plans. Deliver regular written and verbal security related updates and briefings to stakeholders, including senior management.
- Communicate security alerts to the organizational business units/leadership and provide guidance in developing a response/mitigation plan. Assist in preparing regular assessments/updates on political events and their impact on the security environment.
- Proactively identify, escalate and seek mitigation of threats to the safety of employees.
- Recommend and coordinate procurement, installation, and commissioning of security equipment designed to increase the efficiency of security operations at facilities.
- Deliver employee onboarding and security awareness training either in-person or remotely.
- Help develop budget forecasting and track spending.
- Provide regional support for other essential programs including event security, executive protective, and travel security.
- Manage the SOCs, implement best practices and procedures for SOC Operations.
- Graduate with 8+ years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military, or other relevant security-related positions. Degree holder in a relevant field of study.
- Security qualifications such as ASIS CPP, PCI, CBCP are preferred.
- In-depth understanding of geopolitical and security issues within the region.
- Experience in managing the security operations of multiple sites. Formally trained in complex security operations and crisis management.
- Ability to operate and communicate effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment. Collaborative personality who is able to work with diverse teams and across silos to manage complex issues.
- Established network in Intelligence, law enforcement and/or the corporate security industry.
- Willing to work outside of normal office hours and travel when required. Comfortable with regional traveling, sometimes at short notice.
- Excellent written and spoken English. Speaking & understanding of the local language is a must. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and strong business acumen with good analytical skills.
