High Level responsibilities as follows.
- Responsible for Inforce Management to identify and steer further value add to the business, include
- Ongoing supporting PlusX which is a key company's initiatives, including XS/US, persistency management.
- Explain drivers of MCEV/CSM and consider strategies to improve value, hence improving OP.
- Setting reinsurance strategy/framework and drive reinsurance related activities such as recapture or VIF monetization/Capital reduction reinsurance transaction,
- Optimizing Par fund Crediting Strategy.
- Responsible for Annual Best Estimate Assumption management, ensure smooth execution and results are well communicated to the management.
- Adhoc technical support on IFRS17 for day to day reporting or during business planning.
- This role will officially report to me and work closely with Head of Reserving.
- The role doesn’t have official direct reports, but junior assigned based on assignments.
- All the juniors report to the Head of Reserving.
- He/She also need to comfortable to have direct day to day interaction with CXO/Regional counterparts.

If he does well, would be potential successor to the Head of Reserving.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
1) Inforce Management (25%)
- Play key role towards the PlusX working team (Customer Management) in terms of in provide financial and actuarial support in regards Cross Sell/Up Sell, Persistency Management, Backbook management and assessing various business cases.
- Understand the impact of various activities toward P&L and able to steer PlusX team towards the right direction, advice suitable metric to monitor the performance of the various activities.
- Work closely with AZAP Head of IFM and manage quarterly Inforce Management Review slides and content.

2) Par Fund Strategy (25%)
- Optimize crediting strategy to ensure stable and sustainable crediting rate, including review mechanism under IFRS9/17 regime.
- Work closely with Investment, Risk and AIMs to regularly review appropriateness of investment/ALM strategy for Par fund.
- Monitor the performance of Par fund to ensure product remain competitive, and able to meet sales illustration.

3) Annual Best Estimate Assumption Study & Ad Hoc experience investigation (25%)
- Lead the annual assumption study, ensure appropriateness of methodology, working closely with respective reporting head to manage financial impacts.
- Review BEA appropriateness under IFRS17 and make further necessary refinements.
- Ensure timeliness of deliveries and manage communication with AZAP/Group.
- Spearhead in adhoc experience studies to provide recommendation to unlock potential value to the business.

4) Special Projects (25%)
- Lead and coordinate key special projects, such as Reinsurance transaction to reduce SII / S&P Capital.
- Lead and coordinate adhoc investigations, as assigned by the CA and CFO.

**Required**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Financial Engineering or other related fields
- Professional 5 years of experience in Actuarial, Finance and Accounting, Actuarial Pricing, or other related fields in insurance.
- Qualified as Fellow or Close to Qualifying

**Preferred**:

- Risk management and assessment skills
- Mathematics and statistical/ actuarial knowledge
- Programming skill for Internal Risk Capital Calculation
