**ASSISTANT TEACHER**

The position of Assistant Teacher is under the direct supervision of the respective school section Coordinator. Assistant Teacher will work for the benefit of the children of AITIS. Assistant Teacher reports to and works with the Class Teacher. Assistant Teacher is responsible for assisting the Class Teacher with the general supervision and management of the class.

Assistant Teachers interact with colleagues, students, administrators, and parents in a way that demonstrates commitment to AITIS Values, Mission Statement, and Educational Principles.

The AITIS working hours are from 7:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. The teachers are not expected to take leave during the school time.

**Duties **may include, but are not limited, to**:

- Making teaching aids and assisting with the displays for class bulletin boards
- Supervising children at recess as requested by the Principal
