**Chief Accountant**
**Department : Site Thailand (BP81200)**
**Job Overview**
FCA is the accounting department within the Group, responsible for accounting and financial compliance in all legal entities in Thailand. Financial compliance is defined as meeting all statutory requirements and internal the Group requirements as described in policies, directives and in Financial Policies and Procedures (FPP). FCA shall do what is required to meet these requirements.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting for all legal entities.
- Ensure that company financial statements and accounting records are correct, accurate, and that every transaction complies with company policy, local tax regulation as well as statutory requirements.
- Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
- Closing of month end, quarterly and annual financials (P&L, BS and CFS). Ensure that all closing activities are completed on time according to closing schedule with all records properly reconciled.
- Manage the monthly end closing process, business consolidation system reporting and preparation for annual audit.
- Ensure compliance with internal control objectives, local GAAP’s and Financial Policies and Procedures
- Coordinate with business/operation side for yearly physical inventory count and physical fixed asset count
- Supervise Accounting R2R teams to ensure that all teams are well monitored.
- Coordinate preparation of work papers for annual audit and cooperates with requests for information by the external and/or internal auditors.
- Supervise and educate Accounting R2R staff regarding accounting standards and tax regulation for daily operations.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Perform as Project Manager Role on various department projects/initiatives. Undertake ad hoc projects as required.
- Performs other related duties and tasks as assigned by FCA Director
**Minimum qualifications**
- Accounting and Financial knowledge
- Computer skills (MS-word, Excel, Access and Power point)
- Good understanding and skills of system and software, i.e.: SAP
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong integrity and initiative.
- Hardworking, detail-oriented, methodical and very structured
- Able to work both independently and within a team.
- Proficiency in both English and Thai language is required.
