**Major Responsibilities**:

- Effectively teach the critical knowledge, skills, conceptual understandings, and attributes of NIST’s intended learning outcomes in Wellbeing, Digital Literacy, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Language & Literature within a PYP framework.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet the social, emotional, physical, and developmental needs of all learners.
- Engage in professional collaboration with teaching team members and across departments to develop, implement, review and improve units as inquiry.
- Develop meaningful relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and professional organizations.
- Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular activities and programs.

**Qualifications & Dispositions**:

- A university degree and teaching qualification in elementary education.
- A passion for working with and understanding the developmental needs of elementary students.
- The ability to support and strengthen a learning community of mutual respect and support.
- Experience working in an IB PYP school in an international school context or a history of successful teaching with a strong focus on inquiry.
