Our client is one of the largest producers and distributors of fuel-grade ethanol in Thailand.
They are now looking for a dynamic and energetic person to help them as a VP of Procurement.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Directing the full range of actions required for the contract administration phase (review and consent, post-award conferences with bidders, establishment of work schedule, tracking progress, negotiating new/changed requirements, contract modifications, exercising contract options, remedial action, settling claims, contract termination, and requests for payments).
- Driving the procurement and supplier strategy, policy, and operational objectives for the Indirect Procurement.
- Directing, managing, and communicating the partner and supplier performance concerning achieving business goals.
- Creating cost-efficient strategies for purchasing.
- Sourcing and selecting new suppliers, handling price negotiations, and overseas purchasing process.
- Acting as the executive-level contact to manage supplier relationships throughout the procurement lifecycle.
- Improving supply chain management by reducing costs and maintaining standards for product quality.
- Analyzing and evaluating the performance of suppliers.
- Ensuring production and delivery occur on schedule.
- Handling another job will assigned by report line.
**Qualifications**
- BA/MS in supply chain management, economics, finance, energy, engineering, business, accounting, or manufacturing-related field or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least 5+ years’ strategic sourcing and indirect spend/logistics experience supporting a multi-state matrix organization.
- Good technical skills to understand manufacturing processes, including basic knowledge of engineering, chemistry, agricultural, and biogas principles and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at senior levels both inside and outside of the procurement function.
- Working knowledge of finance and/or accounting in terms of budgeting, cost management, financial accounting, treasury, risk management, etc.
- Knowledge and understanding of BOI, Trading, and Import-Export process.
- Great attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a team-based corporate culture.
- Demonstrate strength working cross-functionally to drive issue resolution**.**:
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in an environment with large volumes of data.
- Effective communication skills in English.
