- Understand and stay up to date on fashion trends, both current and future, in order to make informed decisions about the products being purchased.
- Research designers, labels, manufacturers to find the best possible prices for the store's budget.
- Negotiate with vendors to get the best possible price for the merchandise being purchased.
- Work with the other staff to ensure that the products being bought are appropriate for the store's target market
- Attend trade shows and fashion week events to see new collections firsthand and meet with vendors.
- Keep track of inventory levels and reorder merchandise as needed.
- Analyze sales data to identify which items are selling well and which are not.
- Make recommendations to the manager about which products should be stocked.
- Stay within the allocated budget when making purchasing decisions.
- Prepare reports detailing purchases made, costs, and other relevant information.
- Arrange for the shipment of merchandise from the vendor to the store.
- Handle returns and exchanges of merchandise.
- คุณสมบัติ
- Bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising, business, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experiences working as a fashion buyer or assistant buyer.
- Proven ability to forecast trends and anticipate consumer demand.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and math skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Preferred skills and qualifications.
- Experience managing a team of buyer or assistants.
