**Job description of an OTA Manager**

An OTA (Online Travel Agency) Manager in the hotel business plays a crucial role in

managing and optimizing the hotel's presence on online travel platforms to drive revenue and bookings. Their responsibilities typically include:
1. **Rate and Inventory Management**: Ensure that all rates, packages, and promotional deals are accurately reflected across all OTA platforms. Maintain precise inventory

distribution strategies within the hotel's Reservation Management Systems (RMS), Global

Distribution Systems (GDS), and Central Reservation Systems (CRO)

2. **Channel Optimization**: Support all efforts within the channels and distribution team

related to optimizing online partner performance. This includes monitoring OTA

performance metrics and making adjustments to improve bookings and revenue.

3. **Relationship Management**: Manage relationships between the hotel and OTA

partners to ensure mutual benefits. This involves regular communication, negotiation of

terms, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.

4. **Sales and Marketing Strategy**: Develop and implement online sales strategies in

alignment with the hotel's overall business goals. This includes promoting and marketing

the hotel's image and offerings on various OTA platforms.

5. **Data Analysis and Reporting**: Analyze data from various OTAs to understand market

trends and performance. Provide regular reports and insights to the senior management

team to inform strategic decisions and adjustments.

6. **Budget Management**: Manage budgets related to OTA marketing and distribution

efforts. Ensure cost-effective strategies are employed to maximize ROI on OTA

partnerships.

7. **Collaboration**: Work closely with other departments such as sales, marketing, and

general management to ensure cohesive strategies and goals. Support the coordination of

all aspects of the hotel's online presence and performance.
