**About the role**
The Accountant plays an integral role in the Regional Finance Team, with key responsibilities having flow-on impacts to the team and the broader business. They will demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and thoroughness as they perform accounts payable, billing, and reconciliation functions. They must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in a deadline-oriented workplace, while always performing to the highest standard. As part of the Finance Team, they will consistently strive to provide an excellent level of service and support to the business globally across the CardioScan Group.
**Finance Operations**
- **Month-End** - Process journal entries and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
- **Billing** - Generate invoices on a monthly and ad-hoc basis, set up and maintain customer records and price lists in the ERP system.
- **Payments **- Prepare and process all payments ensuring accuracy and that appropriate approvals are obtained and documented.
- **Budgeting **- Assist with the coordination and preparation of regional budgets and forecasting.
- **Cash Flows **- Preparation of cash flow forecasts to ensure the availability of funds as required.
- **Compliance** - Assist with the preparation and coordination of the statutory audit of financial statements, corporate tax return, and VAT and WHT return.
**HR Operations**
- **HR Matters -** Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant labour laws, assist with the preparation of employment contracts, process new starters, leavers and ad-hoc changes, ensure leave and company policies are enforced, and support global HR initiatives.
- **Payroll -** Process the monthly payroll, employee reimbursements, sales commissions, and payroll taxes.
**Other**
- Ensure that month-end timelines are met for all required areas of responsibility.
- Adhere to and maintain appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
**About you**
- Must have a degree in Accounting
- 3+ years’ of experience in a transactional finance role
- 2+ years’ of experience with, or exposure to, HR duties
- Ability to work autonomously and drive process improvements without prompt.
- Ability to work cross-culturally and under pressure.
- Calm and mature demeanour with an ability to manage shifting or competing priorities, and tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
