Our client is a leading manufacturer of liquid and chemical materials.

The Head of Logistics will be reporting directly to the Global Head of SCM & Logistics Manager (Indian) and will be responsible for the following key functions:

- Leading and building up a logistics safety culture within the logistics working area.
- Ensuring and maintaining good housekeeping and safety for all staff and logistics working areas.
- Ensuring equipment such as forklifts, hand pallet trucks, component computers, and weighing scales are properly maintained.
- Leading and controlling the WH and Transport team to achieve KPI targets by following company regulations.
- Participating in internal/external claims investigation and analysis and to ensure that all necessary actions are implemented.
- Managing and controlling warehouse items and costs.
- Optimizing storage space within the warehouse.
- Monitoring the cycle count process in the warehouse.
- Supporting the Logistics Manager in identifying cost-saving projects related to warehouse operations.
- Planning, leading, and ensuring high levels of OTIF deliveries.
- Ensuring cost-effective transportation and ocean freight.
- Benchmarking existing contracts of logistics service providers (domestic and international) with similar industries and identifying improvement areas.
- Developing a network of freight forwarders and inland transporters in the USA.
- Managing warehouse management systems and processes to ensure efficient operation at optimal cost. And Design a warehouse and ISO yard storage strategy for China & USA.
- Strengthening processes for tracking of shipment and processing of payment of logistics service providers.
- Leading export documentation team to ensure timeliness and accuracy of the documents.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or any related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in Logistics Management from a chemical environment.
- Dangerous goods knowledge is required.
- A self-starter with excellent communication skills. The ability to react quickly, address problems, and provide solutions. Able to improve processes as well as develop team consensus and motivation through clearly defined goals and thoughtful planning.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in MS Office software and SAP experience is required but not essential.
