Our Secondary School EAL teachers at BIST work in both an 'in-class' and '1-1 withdrawal support' setting, ensuring that our second language English learners make rapid progress in their English language acquisition when they join the Secondary school, to enable them to more easily access the wider school curriculum.
- Hold a BA degree (or BEd.) plus ideally a post-graduate qualification in education (i.e. PGCE/GTP/Teach First route) from a UK university

- Have a minimum of two years teaching experience in the UK or overseas in a British curriculum school
- Have a proven track record of excellent classroom and pedagogical practice in delivering EAL lessons

**Introduction**

Bromsgrove International School Thailand (BIST) is a privately owned independent institution which uses the name Bromsgrove under license from Bromsgrove School UK. Bromsgrove School in England was established in 1553 and is a top co-educational day and boarding school in the British Midlands. We are one of only two schools outside of England that carries the prestigious Bromsgrove name. Our teachers predominantly come from the United Kingdom and are fully qualified; we also invest in staff Continuous Professional Development, including funding for Masters studies, as we endeavour to professionally develop all staff to an optimum degree.

**Remuneration Package**

The remuneration and benefits package on offer is competitive for the region and includes start and end of contract flights (then annual flights for renewal contracts), relocation allowance, school lunch, housing allowance, private medical insurance and a re-signing bonus for subsequent contracts. The cost of living in Bangkok is very low, and enables teachers to save a good percentage of their salary each month (most teachers save over a 1/3 of their salary), travel extensively locally and regionally, and enjoy the vibrant lifestyle unique to Bangkok.
