We are looking for a friendly and helpful Guest Service Agent to join our team at BED Friends Poshtel. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be able to provide a positive and memorable experience for our guests. Job Profiles : Represents BED Friends Poshtel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's stay. Duties and Responsibilities: - Check in and check out guests. - Register guests and assigns rooms. Accommodates special requests whenever possible. - Process payments and issue receipts. - Performs cashiering tasks like bill/invoice settlement, posting charges to the guest, paid out's etc. - Inform guest of the room key procedures and communicate properly about the services and amenities of the hostel to guests according to the hostel services standard and policies. - Obtain proper guest's identification and attach the form to registration card. - Reads and initials the pass-on log and bulletin board daily. Is aware of daily activities taking place in the hostel. - Answer guest questions and provide information about the hostel, attraction and surrounding area. - Resolve guest complaints and issues in a timely and efficient manner. - Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk, lobby and common areas. - Assist with housekeeping and laundry duties as needed - Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department by notification housekeeping of all checkouts, late checkouts, early check-ins, special requests, and day use rooms. - Works closely with the housekeeping department in the keeping room status reports up to date and coordinates requests for maintenance and repair work. - Work with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the hostel. - Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or assistant manager. Job Knowledge: - Thoroughly understand and adheres to proper credit, check
- cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures. - Understands room status and room status tracking. - Knows room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates as well as the activities and services of the property. - Must be sales-minded. Presents options and alternatives to guests and offers assistance in making choices. - Knows and uses suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel. - Knows how to use front office equipment, and uses proper telephone etiquette. - Knows all safety and emergency procedures, Is aware of accident prevention policies. - Understand that business demands sometimes make it necessary to move employees from their accustomed shift to other shifts.
