This role is responsible for building and managing the Controllership Function in Thailand and creating a strong organizational culture within controllership. This role sits within the Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) division of CBRE.To include:
- Accountability for the integrity of GWS THAILAND financial reporting
- The financial management and monitoring of the internal control environment including SOX
- Managing reporting of results into CBRE group systems, including HFM, Cash flow, and Tax pack reporting
- Meeting financial reporting and compliance obligations.
- This role is important to providing the correct tone at the top with regards to accounting in the organization and relevant & timely financial information.

**Key Tasks**:
**Internal and External Customers**
- Liaising with the CBRE GWS Finance, GWS FP&A and Corporate teams to fulfill any ad hoc information requests

**Finance Leadership**
- Build a culture of strong control and continuous improvement within the Controllership team
- Implement a Technical Accounting Team to deliver a training plan for all finance people to follow to ensure strong understanding of the accounting areas
- Work with the SSC to set/define SLAs and KPIs and ensure they are met going forward.
- Give direction and leadership to the THAILAND controllership team, including the effective management, motivation and development of the team.
- Build and develop high level relationships with business and functional leaders, customers and external agencies (e.g. auditors).
- Positively respond to both our internal and external customers (often in a matrix environment) through effective communication and personal accessibility/credibility.
- Constantly seek to improve quality, service and efficiency.
- Communicate regularly with divisional financial and contract support staff to ensure they are fully informed of initiatives achievements.
- Identify, analyze and resolve potential business risks, as well as opportunities and solutions to enhance business performance.

**Financial Reporting**
- Accountable for integrity of financial reporting across the Thailand entities
- Responsibility for the statutory financial reporting of all CBRE GWS Thailand legal entities under local GAAP. This includes Published Accounts, Taxation matters, and other statutory reporting to public bodies e.g. ACRA, IRAS or equivalent. This responsibility includes accuracy and timeliness.
- Drive month-end close timetable to meet Group reporting requirements, ensuring this is communicated to all stakeholders, including Shared Service Centre (SSC).
- Balance Sheet integrity for management and statutory reporting
- Ensure any US GAAP reporting requirements are completed accurately and on a timely basis
- Work, with the SSC and the business to identify areas of automations and improvements.
- Operate all controllership-owned SOX controls effectively.
- Provide oversight of all client-owned SOX controls and challenge the business to remediate any deficiencies.

**Finance Processes, Procedures and Reporting**
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records and financial systems, identify opportunities to enhance system efficiencies
- Ensure adherence to processes for reconciling Intercompany balances monthly. Ensure that these are reported to and agreed to HFM.
- Have thorough knowledge of procedures and processes and lead the delivery of these to the required standard.
- Manage compliance through the required procedures and processes
- Reconciliation from ERP through to HFM on a monthly basis.

**Financial Governance**
- Responsibility for coordinating the annual audit for CBRE GWS Thailand legal entities (as required) between the auditors and internal staff; with guidance and ensuring relevant preparation of supporting schedules and timetables for internal staff prior to the audit.
- Ensure CBRE & country statutory obligations are met for reporting and governance purposes.
- Responsibility for ensuring the integrity of the Balance Sheet and Balance Sheet Commentary.
- Drive TWC reporting and work with the countries to drive improvements in TWC.
- Ensure proper balance sheet reconciliations are carried out and reviewed for all entities in line with the local risk assessments and corporate policy.
- Review and update, in line with good practice, the internal control environment and produce Controls and Procedures manuals in line with SOX and which are utilized by the business.
- Ensure Business is fully compliant with Sarbanes Oxley, including ITGC, IPE and ITAC.
- Ensure the accounting undertaken is in line with US GAAP requirements with understood bridging back to Local GAAP.
