The Post
- King’s College International School Bangkok is now looking for nanny who can assist the school’s teachers in providing an efficient and caring service to children. We believe in treating each other with kindness and good manners at all times. Due to the mixed nature of our community, the accountant will need to speak, read and write both Thai and English, be very well organised and have a passion for customer service.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Nannies work with the students to ensure they are safe, clean and looked after. They are a vital part of our staff body and essential to our school’s success.
In-class support:
- Be responsible to the class teacher/assistant teacher/head of pre-prep.
- Support the children during feeding times, with toileting, if they are ill and before and after naptimes.
- Ensure the children’s safety at all times.
- Support early years staff in promoting independence in the children.
- Support the class teacher in setting up learning areas to a high standard.
- Supervise children as directed by the class teacher/assistant teacher.
- Be available for professional development when appropriate and requested by supervisor.
- Provide practical support to the class teacher/assistant teacher and to students.
- Be responsible and assist with Thai events such as Loy Krathong and other whole-school events.
- Welcome and greet parents/students at the start of the day and to help with the dismissal of students at the end of the day.
- Follow the Supervised Times Policy when on duty.
- Have a flexible approach to tasks.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Support school bus arrangements before and after school.
Preparation:
- Contribute to the preparation of teaching resources and materials.
- Leave learning areas tidy.
Additional Commitment:
- Attend educational visits if required.
- Direct parents with concerns or comments to the class teacher.
- Attend school meetings.
- Attend school seminars, retreats, activities and training.
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Professionalism:
- Arrive at school punctually.
- Follow the dress code at school and on educational visits.
- Adhere to the school’s confidentiality protocol.
- Uphold the image of the school both while in and out of school.
- Adhere to all child protection policies.
- Uphold the school values of kindness, good manners and wisdom.
- Be kind, well mannered and wise as a role model for our students.
- Be passionate about helping us replicate the success of King’s College School, Wimbledon in Bangkok by being committed to developing the whole child.
- Have 1 or more years of experience in similar roles.
- Be able to obtain a clear criminal record from the Royal Thai Police.
- Supply appropriate references from current and previous employers (referees will be contacted by the recruitment team via telephone).
- Be a competent user of common business software.
**Salary**: From ฿20,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- ยานนาวา, กรุงเทพมหานคร: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
