- Job Description:
- As a Commis 2 in the Pasta Section, you will be responsible for assisting the chefs and cooks in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of pasta dishes. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen and delivering high-quality pasta dishes to customers. You will work under the supervision of senior chefs and collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and quality standards.- Responsibilities:
- Preparation and Cooking:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, such as measuring, cutting, and peeling vegetables, and preparing sauces.- Follow recipes and instructions to cook pasta dishes to the required standards.- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure proper cooking of pasta and other ingredients.- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients.- Assembly and Presentation:
- Plate pasta dishes according to the established guidelines and standards.- Garnish and decorate dishes with appropriate toppings, herbs, or sauces.- Ensure that the presentation of pasta dishes is visually appealing and meets the restaurant's standards.- Quality Control:
- Assist in quality control measures to ensure that pasta dishes meet the established standards of taste, appearance, and portion sizes.- Taste and evaluate food items for quality, seasoning, and proper cooking.- Kitchen Operations:
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the pasta section.- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of food orders.- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area.- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling of kitchen equipment and ingredients.- Inventory and Stock Management:
