The Development geophysicist sits within a GOT Geophysics team.

Oil, gas, and condensate are produced from complex fluvial reservoirs with highly variable reservoir properties in a densely faulted extensional system. The GOT operations drill and complete 10-15,000’ deep deviated & horizontal wells in 4-6 days with 2-3 active rigs. The ES work process is a fast-paced, standardized approach to well planning, data acquisition, and analogy-based reserves.

This position will support new platform and/or future infill development.

**Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to**:

- Working on projects through the CPDEP phases including deviated well targeting and supporting drilling operations.
- Detailed seismic interpretation of complex structural areas, velocity analysis/seismic ties, well planning, and integration of well log and seismic data. Mentoring junior earth scientists is a critical role.

**Qualifications**:

- Proficient and experience in all aspects of development geophysics: detailed seismic interpretation and mapping of complex extensional structures, velocity analysis, seismic ties, integration of well logs & seismic data, development well planning and guiding well operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, process-driven, actively drilling asset using Landmark suite: SynTool, Seisworks, Zmap plus/ Mapit, Wellbore Planner, and GeoProbe.
- Mentoring: proven record of mentoring junior geophysicists.
- Active participation and ideas/knowledge sharing is expected at technical review meetings
- Communication: Demonstrates ability to convey concepts and objectives in presentations and technical reports
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to build team consensus and ability to work effectively and collaboratively in multi-discipline; multi-cultural environment
- Demonstrate critical We Lead behaviors relevant to current business condition
