The Originator generates ideas and assesses opportunities for pitching new business to clients, based on a good understanding of the client’s capital structures, the competitor landscape and deep knowledge of financial markets/regulatory requirements. The Originator is responsible for the preparation of relevant materials and will pitch to new or existing clients with the aim of winning the mandate for the Bank. The Originator will have overall accountability for the smooth execution of transactions working in close partnership with relevant internal functions, ensuring adherence to Bank policy and relevant legal/regulatory frameworks.
Role Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Work with Relationship Managers, clients and internal business partners in order to promote the sales of DB investment solutions at our corporate clients
- Work with internal business partners (platform distribution, sales, product, marketing, legal, transfer agency management and finance) to execute against business plan
- Assist Senior Relationship Managers in coordination with Business Intelligence to help develop and implement strategy firm engagement utilizing the advisor data available to us
- Work with Senior Relationship Managers to build strong partnerships with the members of the team
- Own certain team projects and initiatives for the Relationship Management team, including: Maintain product availability guides and grid, and COI listings for key accounts and field sales; Consolidate and bullet point annual/quarterly client market outlooks for field sales; Manage internal system for critical key account information and field sales access; Act as point of contact for KYC efforts for Relationship Management; Helping to coordinate conference events with key clients; Submission of marketing approvals and maintenance of master approval grid; and Submission of DDQ and RFIs for delivery to client due diligence analysts
- Record maintenance and quality control of, and report generation using our CRM reporting system (Salesforce)
- Work with the Sales team to support them in their client facing activities.
- Analyze client and market data, create presentation material, and facilitate interactions with new and existing clients to allow the Sales team to make efficient use of sales opportunities.
- Be involved in liaising and support the client in account related activities through their strong understanding of the roles, responsibilities and processes that are pertinent to the client's interaction with the Bank.
- Work to ensure adherence to applicable internal policies and external legal/regulatory frameworks.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with origination, trading, client services, operations staff - if applicable & to the degree that is commensurate with the business area - to both gather information and direct client enquiries the most appropriate point to effectively resolve issues.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Good communication and influencing skills
- Ability to articulate specific sales strategies and processes; Client interfacing experience a plus
- Strong computer and data management skills
- Experienced with Excel, Word, Power Point, Salesforce CRM is preferred
- Must be detail-oriented and have an analytical mindset with the ability to deliver key insights
