Makes effective use of relevant language technologies and tools and suggests improvements, which includes keying in and administration of translations directly in a text-processing software.
Identifies new terminology material and submits it for approval.

Undertakes cross-assignments to perform other language functions, increasingly without requiring guidance, if required.
Contributes to the collection and analysis of data.
Performs other related duties as required.

EducationA first-level degree from a university or an institution of equivalent status.
Work ExperienceA minimum of two years of experience in translation and use of standard computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools and relevant language technologies, such as eLuna, or similar tools, within United Nations or similar international organization is required.
A proven experience in translating on a self-revision basis is desirable.
Experience in the United Nations Common System or international organizations is desirable.
Excellent knowledge of English (as assessed in the relevant Competitive examination) is required.
Knowledge of one other official language (also as assessed in the relevant Competitive Examination) is also required.
