A Cook is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while consistently contributing to departmental targets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes within company guidelines
  • Keeping all working areas clean and tidy, ensuring no cross-contamination
  • Preparing all mis-en-place for all relevant menus
  • Assisting other departments as needed and maintaining good working relationships
  • Reporting maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues
  • Complying with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety and food safety legislation
  • Awareness of departmental targets and striving to achieve them as part of the team

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 1
  • Positive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

  • NVQ Level 2
  • Previous kitchen experience in a similar role
  • Basic food hygiene
